Job description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
- Financial Reporting, Bookkeeping & Analysis: Preparing annual/monthly accounts, financial statements, and management reports for different clients.
- Tax Planning & Strategy: Preparing and submitting tax returns, advising on tax planning to minimize liabilities, and staying updated on tax legislation.
- Strategic Advisory: Advising on mergers and acquisitions, business recovery, insolvency, and financial forecasting.
- Budgeting & Financial Management: Managing cash flow, expenditure, and payroll.
- Vat Returns: Prepare and submission for different SME’s (monthly or quarterly accounts) in accordance with financial reporting standards.
Person specification (Skill, Qualification, Experience):
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional Qualification / Education and experience: Part or fully Qualified ACCA (Chartered Certified Accountants) or ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales). The ideal candidate should have knowledge of UK taxation laws and regulations, Proven work experience is not required as training will be provided, but some experience will be advantageous.
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and tax laws.
- Analytical Skills: High-level proficiency in numeracy, financial modelling, and data interpretation.
- IT Literacy: Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Free agent, VT Transaction, Xero).
- Communication: Excellent communication skills - able to address clients in informal and formal settings.
- Methodical Approach: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Integrity & Discretion: Ability to handle confidential, sensitive information with honesty.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to manage changing priorities.
